Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a session?
To reserve your session, a $297 creation fee is required. This secures your date and begins your full portrait experience, including planning, styling guidance, and your session in the studio.
What is included in the creation fee?
Your creation fee includes everything leading up to and during your session:
- Pre-session planning and guidance
- Access to the studio wardrobe
- Your fully guided session
- Preparation and artistic editing of your images
- A personalized ordering appointment
Artwork and images are selected separately after your session.
When do I pay for my images?
After your session, you’ll come back for a relaxed ordering appointment where you’ll view your images and choose your favorites.
Most families invest between $1,000–$3,000+, depending on what they love and how they choose to display their images.
Do you offer digital images?
Yes. Digital images are included with all artwork purchases.
If you prefer a smaller selection, individual images are also available.
What should I wear?
You don’t have to figure that out on your own—I guide you through the entire process.
I also offer a curated client wardrobe for maternity, newborn, and children, so you have beautiful, studio-ready options available.
Can my partner or children be included?
Absolutely. Your session can include your partner and children to create a full, meaningful experience.
Do you offer hair and makeup?
Yes! I work with a professional hair and makeup artist, Stephanie.
It’s completely optional, but many clients love adding it so they can simply show up and feel taken care of.
When should I schedule my maternity session?
The ideal time for maternity portraits is between 28–34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully defined and you’re still comfortable.
When should I book my newborn session?
Newborn sessions are best reserved during pregnancy to ensure availability.
Sessions typically take place when your baby is around 5–14 days old, when they are naturally sleepiest and most curled.
How long are sessions?
- Maternity & Family sessions: about 45–90 minutes
- Newborn sessions: 2–3 hours, baby-led and never rushed
Where is your studio located?
My studio is located in Mokena, Illinois, serving families throughout the surrounding south suburbs.
What if my baby arrives early or late?
No stress at all—newborn sessions are flexible.
Once your baby arrives, we’ll adjust your session date as needed.
What is your rescheduling policy?
Your $297 creation fee is non-refundable, as your date is reserved exclusively for you.
However, you’re welcome to reschedule with at least 72 hours’ notice.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes—payment plans are available for artwork purchases to make the process more manageable.
